Founded in 1885, the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 has a long and storied history. From being one of the crews building and restoring the Minnesota State Capitol and being an integral part of bringing the US Bank Stadium to life, to working on a local school, hospital, or apartment complex, the craftsmen and women of BAC Local 1 have been leaving their mark throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

While the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 Constitution was originally ratified in St. Paul, Minnesota, the local union has grown to include not only the entire state of Minnesota, but North Dakota and South Dakota as well. Under the umbrella of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, BAC Local 1 MN/ND/SD supports over 2,000 members. Trades of our members include bricklayers, tile workers, terrazzo workers, stone masons, cement masons, and pointer/cleaner/caulkers.
