Greg Grazzini Remembers Kelly Feyler

Industry Friends,
We received heartbreaking news yesterday. Kelly Feyler, our friend, Terrazzo Finisher, and long-time member of the Grazzini Brothers family passed away yesterday after a 15-year battle with Cancer.
Kelly beat breast cancer and was in remission until early 2025 when cancer returned to attack other parts of her body. Losing Kelly will leave a sadness on all of us who had the privilege of working alongside her. I hired her over 20 years ago and have worked with her on many projects over the years. Her and her husband Mike were our traveling terrazzo ambassadors throughout the country from Alaska to Florida to the Mid Atlantic to Hawaii and all parts in between. She was a great craftswoman and proof that Woman are equally capable of working in the construction trades!
I would like to reflect on who Kelly was to our community.
Kelly was with Grazzini Brothers for more than 23 years and worked an additional 4 years with the Grazzini / Corradini JV on the Denver Airport and Washington Dulles Airport; retiring in 2020. She is one of the pioneers for woman in construction and one of very few women to master the terrazzo trade. She was requested by many of our clients to be on their projects. Respected by all that worked with her in the field, always making friends with other trades and paving the way for our success. As Bill Gallagher our long time Terrazzo Lead Foreman would say “Send me Kelly she can outwork the best of our crew!”
Always there to help the newest members of our team when they got to the jobsite. She took the time to train, mentor, and show people the Grazzini way. Kelly took pride in watching people excel at their craft, making a difference with many Terrazzo tradespeople.
She was dedicated, hardworking, and committed to doing whatever it took to get the job done. Always with a positive attitude and can-do spirit, allowing her job to take her to new experiences and faraway places. Taking immense pride in her work and the greater Terrazzo Industry. She worked on several award-winning projects including Amsoil Arena & Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. She truly emulated “Proven, Reliable, Craftsmanship”. Always a presence at the many National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association events she attended.
Her contribution went far beyond the installation.
She was a positive presence for so many of us. Her kind, sweet and genuine demeanor was experienced by all who encountered her. She was a champion of Women in the Trades and spent time with Local 1 of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union MN/ND/SD supporting woman in the trade’s initiatives, along with teaching at the apprenticeship training center. Also, spending many hours volunteering in her community at local Women’s Shelter and Hasting Family Services Food Shelf.
Kelly will remain a part of this company’s history, a true inspiration to us all! You may not have known Kelly, but I bet you have been influenced by the years of her dedication to Grazzini Brothers and the industry.
As we grieve, please take care of yourselves and one another. Talk, share stories, and remember the good!
God Bless,
Greg Grazzini
