The Field Representative is responsible for providing representation for the membership, Local, and the BAC trades, and is accountable for promoting and protecting the interests of the membership. As a champion of the BAC Local 1 jurisdiction, the Field Representative ensures that the Local Union is healthy and growing through the commitment to uphold and enforce the CBA, Local Constitution, and IUBAC Constitution.

This role will collaborate with other representatives of the Union, MN Building Trades, and industry affiliates.

This position is the embodiment of the BAC Code of Conduct (Local Officers): A Commitment to Quality, Dependability, and Value.

Preferred Minimum Requirements:

1. Hold all but not limited to the qualifications listed in Local 1 Constitution Article VIII, Section 4.
2. Knowledge of CBA, Local 1 Constitution, IUBAC Constitution, and BAC Code of Conduct.
3. Honest, dedicated, and reliable.
4. Travel is required. 

Preferred Skills

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
2. Self-motivated.
3. Possess basic computer skills. 
4. Ability to take direction.
5. Work effectively in a team environment.
6. Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
